Archery:
North Plainfield High School students (14-18 years of age) and adults (18 and over; follow the adult guidelines
outlined below)
Basketball, Volleyball, Softball, and Badminton:
North Plainfield residents and Borough employees, 18 years and older, are eligible to participate in. You must bring
proof of North Plainfield residency or proof that you work for the Borough.
If you are interested in starting a new Adult program, please contact the Recreation office.

NEW in 2015!
Zumba, Zumba Gold and Yoga
The Department of Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce three new adult programs:
- Zumba - Monday nights starting September 21st
- Zumba Gold (low impact for beginners and seniors) - Wednesday nights starting September 16th
- Yoga - Thursday evenings starting September 17th
They will be offered once per week, one hour per class. Daily passes and 10-pass cards can be purchased at
Borough Hall or at the Recreation Office. See announcement for further details.
Due to schools being closed on September 14th (Rosh Hashanna), Zumba will start on Monday
September 21st. Zumba Gold will start on September 16th as planned. We apologize for the
inconvenience.
Free Senior Citizens Program
Seniors (60+) will be eligible to participate in any recreation sponsored activity for FREE. To be eligible to
participate, you must obtain a Photo ID from the recreation department at 93 Greenbrook Road . See page 2 of the
announcement for further details.

Seasonal Adult Programs
Adult Archery -- same season as Youth Archery (September-November) Tuesday nights at West End from 7:30 -
8:30 pm. Cost: $40
Adult Badminton -- Wednesday nights from 7:30 to 9:30 in the Fall (starts early October) and Spring. The format
is Open Gym. Cost: $20 Played at East End gym.
Adult Hoops Basketball League -- Tuesdays and Thursdays at East End from 7:00 - 9:00 pm in the Fall (starts
early October) and Spring Cost is $35/person.
Adult Volleyball -- Wednesday and Friday nights at North Plainfield High School gym 7-9pm in the Spring. The
format will be Open Gym. Cost: $35
Men's Softball - Starts mid-April. Games at Krausche Field This is a team league. If you have a team that would
like to join, contact the Recreation office. Cost: $350/per team (umpire fees are not included in team fee) For

Co-Ed Softball
All North Plainfield Adults 18 years and older are welcome to join our Adult Co-Ed Softball. Starting June, games will
be on Sunday afternoons at West End School. Registration fee includes team shirts and umpires.
